The Northern Sonoma County Fire Foundation (non-profit component of the fire district) is hosting an Open House event on Saturday, July 13, 2024.  The event will start at 9AM with a fire extinguisher servicing vendor onsite for those that would like to have their extinguishers serviced (supposed to happen annually) or inspected.  The Foundation will pay for the vendor to be onsite but all other costs will need to be paid for by the extinguisher owner.  They are also planning a modified/non-certification CPR/AED presentation(s) and then a simple BBQ (hot dogs and hamburgers).

More information to follow about this event and extinguisher serving costs. This will become an annual preparedness event for the community.

“Being the AVA's treasurer for several years prior to the Kincade Fire brings back fond memories of not only helping the organization with its basic accounting tasks, but also getting to know the other board members some of whom have become life-long friends. Neighbors who work together to help build a vibrant community create an ongoing important organization for those to come!”

-Kathy Monson, Past Board Member & Treasurer of Alexander Valley Association
